As well as hard skill acquisition, these placements are intended to demonstrate a solid route into materials science jobs, inspiring students to follow a materials science educational pathway.

Materials Science Technologist Degree Apprenticeship

Description:

Apprentices gain foundation science and engineering skills through time spent with specialist materials and testing teams and personnel across the business, working with experienced instructors to complete both theoretical and practical activities. They undertake a variety of 3-to-6-month placements in our pilot-line facility and advanced materials processing laboratories, working with our highly experienced and knowledgeable people to learn how the specialist equipment and processes operates.

Postgraduate Development Scheme

Description:

Postgraduate research posts can be arranged for level six candidates and above. Mentoring and industrial support is available to develop candidates beyond technical learning and into commercial understanding and exposure to industrially relevant research. The aim is to round out a skillset through experience, building future leadership skills, and cross functional understanding within a speciality that provides real differentiation and an opportunity to showcase talent.
