AMRICC's vision is to produce a talent pipeline of 'commercial technocrats' with an expertise in applied materials and business aspects related to the commercialisation of innovation.
In addition to the development of postgraduate students, to help the progression of students to degree level qualifications, higher and degree level apprenticeships will also be developed in materials, including applied materials and advanced ceramics.
This will enable businesses to easily engage with developing their staff, as well as providing a progression pathway for students who have studied 'A' Levels, and then move onto graduate studies supported by local businesses.
AMRICC will be working with employers and Staffordshire University in the development of these higher and degree apprenticeship pathways.
AMRICC will provide a unique environment for young professionals studying for higher and degree apprenticeships to join the postgraduate researchers also studying and working in AMRICC to meet and interact, forming professional and social bonds across the group. This is expected to benefit both parties by facilitating knowledge exchange as well as giving a range of different work experiences.
Apprentices will also be given a range of technical and commercial education at AMRICC and within industrial environments.
